Clarification on Training Tariff Increases

Pound SymbolThere appears to have been some concern and questions over the new tariff of prices for the training that the club provides, hopefully this will answer those questions.

Since the second year of the ball, the committee decided that with the money raised we could offer a subsidy, this in the latter years amounted to £5 per rider off the training costs. The ball in 2009 raised approximately £2500 for subsidy and by the end of December 2009, we had spent approximately £2800 on subsidising the training to members, some 47 training sessions from January to December 2009.

We continue to provide excellent training with high class quality trainers at a discounted rate. The new tariff reflects the price of the trainer at club rates, the hire of the arena divided by the amount of riders per session.

The committee still feel that we provide an excellent training programme at low expense, we have developed the tariff to make no profit from the training, and the price covers the expenses only.

The committee still continue to run ‘fund raisers’, apart from the ball, the committee ran a successful ‘Hog Roast’ in September of 2009 that raised extra money for the club funds, this is scheduled again for this season, with hopefully more members attending. We also have a few more social and fund raising ideas, watch this space and the Web site. The new 2010 price list can be viewed via the training page >
