NDG does not have a junior section and so membership is restricted to people aged 18 years and over.

NDG Training Camp at Somerford Park 25th-28th March 2010

XC Training8Due to the great success of our first training camp held at Somerford Park in March 2009, we felt we should do it again. The NDG will be running a three day training camp at Somerford Park from the 26th to the 28th of March 2010.

 

The camp will start on the evening of Thursday 25th March with stables and the parking field being available to us from 6pm. The training consists of a flexible mix of one hour group flatwork, show jumping and cross country sessions training. Up to 33 stables are available. Included in the price is:

 

- Stable, haylage and 2 bales of shavings. (Additional shavings may be purchased or brought with you)

- Parking for wagons, caravans and tents. B&B is also available locally.

- Use of the pavilion including showers and the self catering kitchen.

- Training sessions and use of the cross country schooling ground, show jumping and flatwork arenas for training. The Farm Ride is available at extra cost.

- Supper on the evening of your arrival.

 

Stable Plan

A full stable plan wil be available the week before Camp, for those already signed up to go to camp, this will be e-mailed out to you, the plan will also be made available via this page.

 

The Full Somerford Park rules and requirements can be found here>. Please do take some time to read through these, taking particular note of arrival/departure times and the rules of No Dogs on Camp.

 

Costs

There are 3 different cost options depending on how many training sessions you wish to attend over the 3 days. Training is in small groups of similar standard horses and riders. Within each option YOU choose the mix of flatwork and jumping sessions you wish to attend.

 

- Option 1: 5 Training sessions – 2 Friday, 2 Saturday and 1 Sunday. Cost £160

- Option 2: 3 Training sessions – 1 Friday, 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday. Cost £130

- Option 3: Stable only - Aimed at those who might want to bring a second or young horse. (Subject to availability and preference will be given to riders taking training options) Cost £85.
